- ↑ Arguably, the date of the issue of the Hill Valley Telegraph was April 16, 1959, based on the headline that says "Nasser Accuses Reds of Plotting Overthrow". Gamel Abdel Nasser was President of Egypt, at that time part of the United Arab Republic, and said in an interview with a Scripps-Howard reporter that the Soviet Union was planning to set up a Communist government in Egypt. A similar headline from the Albuquerque Tribune was entitled "Nasser Charges Reds Plot His Overthrow" [1]
