A History of Hill Valley, 1850-1930 was a book published in the 20th century detailing the history of the city of Hill Valley, California between the years 1850 and 1930 – a copy of which was retained by the City Archives. One page featured a family photo of the McFly family, including William McFly.

- Many local histories for communities in the United States were researched and written between 1935 and 1943. They were among the many federally funded projects of the Works Progress Administration (WPA), which provided jobs to the unemployed during the Great Depression.[1]
