Alphabet soup was a soup containing pasta cut into shapes of letters of the alphabet.

History

According to the Newsline column on the front page of the October 22, 2015 issue of USA Today,[1] activists had mobilized to ban alphabet soup, with the group's leader, J. Williams, claiming it to be “an offensive product which contains slurs and profanity in every can”.
