Archimedes was one of three horses named by Emmett Brown in 1885, along with Galileo and Newton.
History
Archimedes was named after the Ancient Greek mathematician Archimedes of Syracuse (c. 287 BC - c. 212 BC).
Archimedes and Galileo had stalls in Emmett's blacksmith shop between the door and Doc's refrigerator, with their names written on signs above the entrances to their stalls. He was the horse that Doc rode to chase after the train on September 7.[1]
