Back to the Future: The Board Game is a board game based on the Back to the Future trilogy, created by Movie Licensing Games. It was released in 1990.

Gameplay

The game is played with two to four players.  Each player roles a die and moves a playing piece on the board according to the number of the roll. The goal is to take the role of Marty McFly, traveling across four time periods: 1985, 1955, 2015, and finally 1885, to rescue Emmett Brown who is stranded there.

To accomplish this you need a number of items: the Delorean time machine, the flux capacitor to facilitate time travel, plutonium to power the flux capacitor, 88 mph of speed to break the time barrier and enter temporal displacement, a Mattel hoverboard, and the clock tower that was hit by lightning to power the flux capacitor when plutonium wasn't available.

You will encounter several obstacles on your way, including Biff Tannen, and a time warp, which can send you backwards or forwards in time.
