The Bufo Marinus was once a extinct species of Frogs that was found in Ancient Peru in the year 1532 but thanks to Doc and Marty, The Bufo Marinus returned to 1991 to start a new life.
History[]
When Doc tried to help Marty with his athletes' foot, he revealed the key ingredient is the that of the acid from its skin. So Doc and Marty used the The Delorean to travel back to Peru in 1532 to obtain one to cure Marty.
However they were captured by Incan natives of the Lost City of Gold, who believed they were trying to find them and steal their gold. To make matters worse it both Doc and Marty were about to be killed by falling into a pit of Bufo Marinus, which Doc revealed that while a small dose if its acid skin can cure Marty's foot, a large dose can melt the human body but thanks to a tuning fork, Doc makes the Bufo Marinus go crazy and made it by saying that Marty can "control" by dancing. After Biffando de la Tanén and his goons arrived at the city, Doc used the Bufo Marinus to scare away Biffando and the others.
Afterwards Doc asked the leader of the natives if he and Marty could take a few of the frogs with them and he agreed. Back in 1991 Doc was happy that he and Marty brought back a once extinct species to the future to start a new life, with Marty using one on his feet to finally cure it.

- The Bufo Marinus are clearly based on the Cane toads, due to their toxic acid skin that can kill animals that eat frogs or frog eggs.
