John Calvin Coolidge Jr. (July 4, 1872January 5, 1933) was the 30th President of the United States.

On August 2, 1923, President Warren G. Harding died suddenly in California while on a speaking tour. The next day, the 29th vice president, Calvin Coolidge, was inaugurated as President of the United States. Coolidge was re-elected in 1924.

Herbert Hoover succeeded him as president on March 4, 1929.

On June 13, 1931, Cue Ball Donnelly is serving soup at the Sisters of Mercy Soup Kitchen. He states that the kitchen's soup rack hadn't been restocked since the Coolidge Administration.
