"Calvin Klein" (born November 19, 1942 in New York) was an American fashion designer.

Alias of Marty McFly

For a full biography, see the article on Marty McFly.

The "Calvin Klein" alias was taken by Marty McFly in 1955, after Lorraine Baines noticed the name on his purple underwear.

She assumed it to be Marty's name. Marty did not correct her that it was actually the manufacturer's name (maybe he figured that would sound strange, since no such manufacturer was known yet), only told her that most people call him Marty.

Lorraine continued referring to him as Calvin, and the rest of the people Marty met in 1955, such as Biff Tannen, did as well. When Lorraine followed Marty to Dr. Emmett Brown's mansion, he told her that Doc was his uncle.

In 1958, Lorraine was fighting with George McFly, due to the fact that his newfound confidence made him arrogant, and she considered breaking their engagement off. Lorraine came to Doc's mansion looking for "Calvin". Doc told her that he was away at college, but knowing that they had to stay together in order for Marty to be born, Doc came up with a plan to tell George what to say to Lorraine using a tiny radio receiver that he invented based on Marty's walkman, akin to Cyrano de Bergerac. However, George thought Lorraine was cheating on him with Doc, and stormed in on them, accidentally setting off Doc's Static-O-Matic electric hair chair. They both had a laugh at his frizzled hair caused by the static, and George realized that he didn't have to be so uptight all the time. Doc realized that arguments are usual in relationships, and he was able to rest easy knowing that they would stay together.

In 1986, Marty McFly and Professor Marcus Irving borrowed Doc's second DeLorean time machine to travel to 1972. They intended to discover why Marty's uncle Joey went to prison. Prof Irving told Marty that his teenage self was known by the residents of Hill Valley and told him to stay out of sight, reminding him that 1972 was not that far from 1955.
