The Plymouth Reliant was a model of car. In the first timeline, George McFly drove a 1979 year of the vehicle in 1985 before he lent it to his work supervisor Biff Tannen, who totaled it while drinking and driving (at the same time!). Biff then blamed George by claiming the car had a blind spot, and forced him to pay up to have his suit dry-cleaned as he had spilt beer over himself in the crash.
