Chuckles LeNart was an enemy of Kid Tannen.
At some point prior to August 25, 1931, Kid had Chuckles killed, and subsequently added a caricature of him to the wall of El Kid. The caption under the caricature read 'Chuckles LeNart. He didn't get the last laugh.'
