"Only if it turns out that reality is actually nothing more than a holographic illusion created by the interplay of subatomic particles on a vast two-dimensional membrane."

The classifieds were a section in the Hill Valley Telegraph where people could advertise goods they wished to sell.

The August 11, 1984 issue of the newspaper featured ads placed by sellers named Robert, John and Robin, who were selling a DeLorean DMC-12, a non-working pinball machine and a Ferrari 308 GTS respectively.

Emmett Brown went on to purchase Robert's DeLorean, which he used to build his time machine the following year; and the pinball machine from John, using the parts from it to create a fake nuclear weapon for the Libyans. However, whether Robin ever found a buyer for his Ferrari remains unrecorded.

Another seller advertising in the classifieds on August 11 was Professor B.O. Beanes, who was having an estate sale and selling a large collection of vintage books.
