Telescope-2

Doc and Clara looking at the Moon through Clara's now-repaired telescope.

A constellation was a group of stars.

Clara Clayton was very interested in astronomy, and often used her telescope to look at the stars, as she had done as a child while quarantined for three months with diphtheria, as well as the Moon.

On September 5, 1885, Clara appeared to know where a lot of the constellations were while she was giving Emmett Brown a lunar geography lesson as they looked at the Moon and the stars through her telescope.
