Daniel Louis "Dan" Castellaneta (born on March 29, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) was the voice of Emmett Brown in Back to the Future: The Animated Series, as well as the McDonald's commercial for the toys of the cartoon.[1]

Other roles

Dan Castellaneta's best known role is that of Homer Simpson & Krusty the Clown on The Simpsons. He also briefly provided the voice of Homer Simpson on the Family Guy episode "Ratings Guy".

In 1992 Castellaneta voiced Chula on Fievel's American Tails. The cartoon also included Cathy Cavadini as Tanya Mousekewitz, Danny Mann as Dog and Hal Rayle as Clint Mousewood.

He also voiced Harvey in the Tiny Toon Adventures episode "It's a Wonderful Tiny Toons Christmas Special", which included Joe Alaskey as Plucky Duck.

In 1993, Castellaneta voiced the narrator in the Nintendo film Super Mario Bros, which is based off the video game of the same name.

From 1994 to 1995, Castellaneta voiced The Genie (voiced in the 1st and 3rd film by Robin Williams) on Aladdin, as well as the DTV movie The Return of Jafar. The episode "From Hippsodeth, with Love" included Neil Ross providing the voice of King Pector.

He did the voice work for The Genie in the 1996 DTV film Aladdin and the King of Thieves, but Robin Williams came aboard for the role, thus replacing Castellaneta's recordings.[1]

Castellaneta provided the voice of Grandpa on Hey Arnold. He along with Mann both performed voice work on the episode Veteran's Day. Castellaneta voiced his character in Hey Arnold: The Movie (2003), which included Christopher Lloyd as the Coroner.

In 1995, Castellaneta appear in the remake of The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, which starred Kirk Cameron as the main character.

He also voiced Football Player #3 and Martian Sage in the episodes "Quarterback Quack"/"To Love a Duck" on Duck Dodgers which included Alaskey as the title character.

In 2005, Castellaneta reprised the role of Genie (whom he voiced on Aladdin: The Animated Series and the DTV Return of Jafar for Kingdom Hearts 2 along with James Arnold Taylor (who voiced Captain Jack Sparrow).

In 2006, Dan voiced Ramon & an elephant seal in the video game Happy Feet, which included Elijah Wood as Mumble and Cavadini as Norma Jean, a young penguin & a human.

He also voiced Krusty the Clown in The Simpsons Ride, which also had Christopher Lloyd voicing Emmett Brown (drawn in the style of The Simpson).
