Darlene Vogel (born October 25, 1962 in Modesto, California) played Leslie "Spike" O'Malley in Back to the Future Part II, and also I.F.T. public relations representative Heather on Back to the Future: The Ride.
Other roles[]
Darlene, who graduated from high school in Connecticut, and who also first got her show business start doing commercials, has had numerous TV roles over the course of her career, with her best known role probably being Officer Chris Kelly on the USA Network series Pacific Blue from 1996 to 1999.
She is also known for her role on the soap opera One Life to Live as Dr. Melanie Farrell McIver from 2000 to 2001. Vogel's other films include are Ski School, Angel 4: Undercover, and Ring of Steel. She has made guest appearances on numerous TV shows, including Full House, Northern Exposure, Boy Meets World and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Presently, Vogel has appeared on the TV infomercial circuit as a pitchperson for such prouducts as the "Youthology" wrinkle remover, and the "DogPedic" dog sleep system with TV talk show host Montel Williams.
On May 9, 2003, Darlene gave birth to a son, Owen Timothy Howard. They also have a daughter, Audrey Caroline Vogel Howard, who was born March 22, 2008. An avid animal activist, Vogel and her longtime fiance Mark Howard also give love, a good home and shelter to three happy dogs.
