Doc Brown and Marty McFly's photograph of the clock that would later sit in the clock tower of the Hill County Courthouse was taken on September 5, 1885 at the Hill Valley Festival. After Doc returned to 1985 at the site of the DeLorean time machine's destruction, he gave Marty the completed photograph as a memento.
Originally, Doc stood next to the clock alone before Marty intervened and was shot in the back that night by Buford Tannen.
It is also possible that Marty's image would have appeared on the photo he found at the Library in 1955, but the photo was torn in half when the DeLorean was destroyed.
