Dork thinks hes gonna drown

Skinhead thinks Marty's down vest is a life preserver. "Dork thinks he's gonna drown!"

"Hey, Biff. Get a load of this guy's life preserver. Dork thinks he's gonna drown!"
—Skinhead in 1955, commenting on Marty's 1985 down vest

"Dork" was a term used to describe someone who was considered foolish or idiotic.

While Biff's gang were harassing George in Lou's Cafe in 1955, Marty's burnt orange down vest from 1985 caught the attention of Skinhead, who thought it was a life preserver and declared Marty a dork for wearing such a thing on dry land — much to the amusement of Biff, Match and 3-D.

Upon his return to 1955, Marty observed Biff asking Lorraine to the Enchantment Under the Sea dance, while she responded that she would be busy washing her hair that night. Biff retorted with the mixed metaphor that her comeback was "about as funny as a screen door on a battleship", while Marty silently stated "It's 'screen door on a submarine', you dork".
