Six of these teenage individuals opened fire on the Strickland residence with Mossberg 500 guns. They were fired at in retaliation by Gerald Strickland, who called them "slackers" and chased them. Their distraction aided Marty McFly, who was being threatened with the loss of his prospects of ever fathering children by Jennifer Parker forever by the shotgun-wielding Strickland, to get away.
