Dwayne McDuffie (February 20, 1962-February 21, 2011) was a comic book and television writer.

He wrote for the Back to the Future comic book series for Harvey Comics.

McDuffie also wrote all four issues of Harvey's Monster in My Pocket comics. The first Issue 2 story "Chemistry" had art done by Gil Kane.

Other works[]

Dwayne McDuffie was a co-founder of Milestone Media which was geared towards comic books providing focus on minority characters. It's earliest titles which McDuffie wrote included Hardware, Icon, Blood Syndicate and Static.

He also went on to write the 2000 cartoon series based on Static which was retitled as Static Shock.
