Elijah Wood is an American actor who was born on January 28, 1981, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Although his most famous role has been as the Hobbit Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings films, Wood made his movie debut in 1989, at the age of 8, in Back to the Future Part II. Along with John Thornton, Wood was credited as "video game boy", where he described the Wild Gunman video game as being "like a baby's toy", then shook his head in disgust.
