Elijah Wood is an American actor who was born on January 28, 1981, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Although his most famous role has been as the Hobbit Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings films, Wood made his movie debut in 1989, at the age of 8, in Back to the Future Part II. Along with John Thornton, Wood was credited as "video game boy", where he described the Wild Gunman video game as being "like a baby's toy", then shook his head in disgust.

In 2003, archive recordings of Elijah Wood was used for the video game adaptation of The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (which had some voice work from Andrew Chaikin).

In 2006, Wood voiced Mumble in Happy Feet which included Danny Mann as Dino and a zoo penguin. He provided the voice in the video game adaptation which included Dan Castellaneta as Ramon & an elephant seal and Cathy Cavadini as Norma Jean, a young penguin & a human.

He also voiced Ethan in the American Dad! episode "Iced, Iced Baby".

In 2010, Wood appeared as himself in the Family Guy episode "Brian Griffin's House of Payne".
