Expedition: Back to the Future is a 2021 docuseries starring Josh Gates and Christopher Lloyd. The series follows Gates and Lloyd as they travel across the United States in search of the iconic DeLorean time machines used in the Back to the Future trilogy. In Expedition: Back to the Future, Josh Gates teams up with Christopher Lloyd, who reprises his role as Doc Brown in a real-world quest. Their goal: to locate and reunite the surviving DeLorean vehicles used during the production of the original Back to the Future films. The journey takes the pair across multiple states and features behind-the-scenes stories, rare memorabilia, and nostalgic moments. The ultimate goal is to auction one of the screen-used DeLoreans to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
