In 2015, it appeared that there was a female president in charge of the United States of America.
Biography[]
According to the Newsline column on the front page of the October 22, 2015 issue of USA Today, the president said she was tired "of reporters asking the same questions".
Assuming the normal election cycle was still in use by 2015, she would have had to been elected in either 2008 or 2012. It was never expressly stated which country in particular this female was president of, so she might not have been the President of the United States after all — considering that other countries (and corporations) have presidents as well.
Behind the scenes[]
- In actuality, Barack Obama was re-elected President in 2012 and was thus in office by the real October 21, 2015.
- The only female candidate who ran in 2012 was Michele Bachmann.
- In 2011, there was major speculation as to whether former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin or Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann might run for President. As it turned out, Palin declined to run and Bachmann ultimately dropped out of the race by January 4, 2012.
- While there was not a female president by October 21, 2015, former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was leading the polls as the choice for the Democratic Party nominee for the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election. But ultimately, Donald Trump won.
