Fortnite Chapter 7 Icon

Fortnite is an online multiplayer video game developed by Epic Games, released in July 27, 2017. It features three main modes: Battle Royale, where up to 100 players fight to be the last one standing; Save the World, a cooperative survival mode; and Creative, which allows players to build their own worlds. The game is known for its building mechanics, frequent updates, and crossover events with various franchises.

The Zero Hour Finale Event featured a large number of collaborations introduced during Chapter 6, including The Simpsons, the MonsterVerse, Hatsune Miku, Star Wars, K-Pop Demon Hunters, the DC Universe, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, among many others. Zero Hour also introduced Kill Bill and Back to the Future, which were released in Chapter 7. Marty McFly drives the DeLorean to fight the Dark Presence in order to take back the island. The event took place on November 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST.

Back to the Future Time Machine (Vehicle)[]

The Back to the Future Time Machine is a vehicle added in Chapter 7 Season 1 update v39.11 and can be obtained at six locations on the map. When it reaches a speed of 88 km/h, it initiates time travel and disappears from the view of other players. It later reappears while equipped with a Time Travelled Chest.

After time travel, the Back to the Future Time Machine functions identically to the Whiplash, aside from its appearance, and time travel can no longer be performed. Opening Time Travelled Chest grants OG Weapons. When boosting into the air or falling, the wheels fold inward.

Trivia[]

  • The 3D model of the hoverboard does not include the Mattel sticker, likely due to licensing issues.
  • Marty’s Gibson ES-345 features the McFly family photograph on the headstock, but it depicts Jonesy, Peely, and Evie.
  • The Camcorder Crusher is adorned with several stickers, including ones depicting the logo’s arrow motif and an illustration of Copernicus.
  • The Back to the Future Time Machine reuses the model from Rocket League, though its license plate is a barcode.
    • Obtaining the Back to the Future Time Machine unlocks it for use in Rocket League as well.
  • Due to Fortnite using the Metric system for its units, the DeLorean travels through time at 54.68 mph instead of 88 mph.
  • The game does not refer to the Time Machine as the DeLorean, despite retaining the DMC branding.
