This page should detail what Futurepedia is not.
This is currently very basic but essentially, Futurepedia is NOT:
A place to post fanon (non-canonical storylines, persons, etc.) regarding the BTTF universe
- Exact birthdays of characters
- Only the birthdays of George McFly, Biff Tannen and Ito Fujitsu are known.
- Estimating birth years of characters
- Since the main characters portrayed different ages through the use prosthetic makeup, and actors in their early 20's portrayed high school students, none of the characters can be assumed to be the same age as the actor portraying them.
- Characters invented in fan fiction
- Characters mentioned in non-canon sources such as the draft screenplays or scenes cut from the film, however, may be included and assigned an appropriate category.
In other words, only things seen and heard in reliable sources, and inferences that the filmmakers most likely intended to convey to the audience, may be used in writing articles.
