Galileo was the name of Dr. Emmett Brown's dog in 1972.

Biography

Galileo was named after the 16th/17th century Italian scientist Galileo Galilei.

On June 23, 1972, Doc used Galileo as a test subject in his garage for what Marcus Irving assumed to be "an anti-gravity field", but was actually what Doc termed an "inertial buoyancy displacement convector".
