Gerald Ford was the 38th President of the United States, following Richard Nixon. He was the first person to be appointed vice president via the twenty-fifth amendment to the United States Constitution, becoming the 40th vice president after Nixon's Vice President, Spiro Agnew, resigned. He then became the first person to ascend to both the Presidency and Vice Presidency under that amendment when Nixon resigned.
On November 24, 1974, Dr. Emmett Brown was present when Gerald Ford met with Leonid Brezhnev in the Soviet Union to sign an agreement limiting the amount of strategic arms that both countries could possess.
