The Hill Valley Preservation Society's xeroxed copy of the "SAVE THE CLOCK TOWER" flyer, bearing the Hill Valley Telegraph front page article about what happened on the night of November 12, 1955.

"30 years ago, lightning struck that clock tower and the clock hasn't run since. We at the Hill Valley Preservation Society think it should be preserved exactly the way it is as part of our history and heritage."

The Hill Valley Preservation Society was an organization in Hill Valley.

In 1985, Mayor Goldie Wilson was sponsoring an initiative to have the clock inside the courthouse's clock tower either repaired or saved. The Society demanded that it be saved as it was in the same condition, with the hands still pointed to 10:04 p.m., to preserve history and heritage.

On October 25, one of its representatives was collecting donations to "Save the Clock Tower", and gave Marty McFly and Jennifer Parker each a xeroxed flyer. Jennifer wrote down her grandma's telephone number, along with I love you!, on the back of one of the flyers.

In 2015, the Society was once again campaigning to preserve the clock tower. On this occasion, Terry was going around Courthouse Square with a portable thumb unit, asking people for donations.
