"Only if it turns out that reality is actually nothing more than a holographic illusion created by the interplay of subatomic particles on a vast two-dimensional membrane."

Hill Valley Library

The Hill Valley Public Library is a public library in Hill Valley, California. In the original timeline, it was still in operation in 2015.

In the timeline where Biff Tannen controlled Hill Valley, it was closed in 1985 to make room for a new BiffCo development.

On October 26, 1985, in the timeline where Biff controlled Hill Valley, Doc Brown sneaked into the closed library and searched through the Hill Valley Telegraph archives. He discovered that Biff had become a millionaire and that his alternate self was committed to the asylum on May 2, 1983. He took this information back to Marty McFly, and they were able to stop Biff in 1955 — thus restoring the timeline.

In 2015, in the original timeline, Doc accessed Wikipedia through the internet on a computer at Hill Valley Public Library.

After Doc rewrote the timeline where a nuclear holocaust occurred in 2045, by preventing much technology from being made commercially available by 2015, the internet was shown to still exist, but it is unclear whether the Hill Valley Public Library is still used to access the internet in this timeline.
