Hill Valley Theater of Live Sex Acts

The Hill Valley Theater of Live Sex Acts was a theater in 1985A that sat on the grounds of the old Essex Theater.[1]

It advertised free drinks and a "no minimum age" limit.

Behind the scenes

  • The theater was not seen in the final cut of the film, but still photos of the edifice, along with others in the set for the 1985A "Biffhorrific timeline", are part of the special features on the Blu-ray release of Part II. A photo is also part of the bttf.com feature, "Back to the Future Myths and Misinformation Debunked", based on an interview with Bob Gale.
  • In 1985, the Essex movie theater was already showing pornographic films, with Orgy American Style as the feature on the October 26-27 weekend. Hence, it was appropriate that the Essex would be the site of live stage performances.
