Holofilms (short for holographic films) were a new technology seen in the year 2015, and were a highly advanced version of three-dimensional movies.
One of these was Jaws 19, which was being shown at the Holomax Theater in Hill Valley, where Marty McFly was 'swallowed' by a gigantic holographic image of the title character — which he thought still looked fake.
