Jello (trademarked as Jell-O) is a brand of gelatin that was first trademarked in 1897.

In 1943, Doc Brown offered orange Jello, with a symbolic mushroom floating in the center, to Lieutenant General Leslie Groves, Vannevar Bush, and J. Robert Oppenheimer when he was awarded a position on the Manhattan Project.
