Joe Flaherty (born Joseph O'FlahertyJune 21, 1941) is an American actor and comedian, and is best known for his work on the Canadian sketch comedy SCTV (ran from 1976 to 1984). He played the Western Union man in Back to the Future Part II and Sid Sleaze in Sesame Street: Follow That Bird.

In 1985, Flaherty played Sid Sleaze in Sesame Street: Follow That Bird.

He played the live action host Count Floyd in the 1988 cartoon The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley. Footage with him from the show was occasionally used for Cartoon Planet which aired from 1997 to 1998.

He also portrayed the jeering fan Donald in the 1996 movie Happy Gilmore.

Flaherty voiced the owner of a DeLorean door in the American Dad! episode "DeLorean Story-an", which also included Donald Fullilove as a highway patrol trooper.

Flaherty reprised his role as the Western Union Man in the Family Guy episode "Something, Something, Something, Dark Side" (2010) and later in the episode "The Big Bang Theory" (2011).
