John Barber is a freelance comic book writer, and former senior editor at IDW Publishing. Before working for IDW, he published his own comics and worked as an editor at Marvel.
He co-wrote the IDW Publishing comics Back to the Future: Untold Tales and Alternate Timelines, Back to the Future: Continuum Conundrum, and Back to the Future: Hard Time. He also is co-writer of IDW's Transformers comic book series.
He was one of the writers featured in the Adventures Into Digital Comics documentary, which detailed the decline of the comic book industry in the 1990s and the emergence of webcomics.
