Kitty Hawk, North Carolina is a town in Dare County, North Carolina, in the area known as North Carolina's Outer Banks.
The Wright brothers invented and built the world's first successful airplane, when they made the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight on December 17, 1903, four miles south of Kitty Hawk.
Doc Brown was present in Kitty Hawk during the first flight. He was caught on film, expressing his excitement on witnessing the event, as the airplane passed overhead.
