Marilyn Monroe (born Norma Jeane Mortenson June 1, 1926, died August 5, 1962) was briefly married to Biff Tannen in 1960 of the alternate timeline where an elderly Biff used the DeLorean time machine and the Grays Sports Almanac to make his younger self a millionaire.
She divorced Biff after Dreams of a Madman, the first and only movie produced by Tannen Pictures, was released to scathing reviews. Afterwards, Biff married Jayne Mansfield and left Hollywood to return to his hometown of Hill Valley, California.
Behind the scenes
- Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield aren't referred to by name in the comics, but Biff's wives bear their likenesses, with Biff telling Bernie Kessoff "Even Marilyn left me. She took the last taxi out of Dodge." Also, the video footage on the monitor at the Biff Tannen Museum in Back to the Future Part II further shows their identities through actual photographs of the actresses, which were digitally altered to include Tom Wilson as Biff.
- The photograph of Biff and Marilyn was originally of Marilyn Monroe and Yves Montand in a photo promoting the 1960 film Let's Make Love.[1]
