The McBride Rust Study was a privately funded study carried out by the International Center for Alternative Scientific Theory (ICAST) in 2015 to determine whether rust was actually a living organism of extra-terrestrial origin.


Steve Pearson was one of those involved in the McBride Rust Study which, after five years, conclusively proved that rust was not an alien life-form after all.[1]
