A military tank was an armored fighting vehicle which moved along on continuous tracks, designed for front-line combat and used by the United States Army.
History
In 1985A, the corrupt Hill Valley Police Department owned by Biff Tannen had somehow gotten their hands on a tank, and were using it to keep order in the crime-infested Courthouse Square.
Whether Biff also owned the U.S. Army, as well as the Navy and Air Force, in this nightmarish alternate reality remains unrecorded.
