Back to the Future: The Animated Series featured music composed by Michael Tavera. However, unlike the music of the trilogy, the soundtrack has never seen an official release.
Known individual tracks[]
- Main theme: A new version of 'Back in Time', it plays at the beginning of every episode of the animated series.
- Credits theme: A version of the Back to the Future Part III end credits theme.
- Negative discovery theme: Plays when Marty decides to "jet back to future" in 'Mac the Black', and also in 'Witchcraft' when Marty receives the postcard from the remote control mail delivery time machine.
- Chase theme: A variation on 'Hoverboard chase' - plays in 'Put on Your Thinking Caps, Kids! It's Time for Mr. Wisdom!' in the scene where the Jules Verne Train chases the DeLorean across the desert. It also plays when Doc and Verne run away from the Egyptians in 'Witchcraft'.
- Salem theme: Plays when Marty enters Salem for the first time, at the town social, and also at the opening of Marty's trial.
- Variant of 'It's Clara': Plays just after Chris is revealed to be a girl in 'Verne's New Friend', and also when Clara and Doc leave for 2091 in 'Solar Sailors'.
- 'Go fly a kite' climax: Plays as Verne hangs from the clock tower.
