Neil Patrick Harris (born June 15, 1973 in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is an actor who is known for his role as the main character Dr. Douglas "Doogie" Howser in the TV series Doogie Howser, M.D., which ran from September 19, 1989 to March 24, 1993.

During the run of Doogie Howser, M.D., Harris also played the role in the 1990 movie The Earth Day Special which was a crossover special made to inform viewers about the importance of taking care of the environment. During the movie, Harris' character shared screentime with Christopher Lloyd, who reprised his role as Dr. Emmett Brown, as well as with Bette Midler who played Mother Nature.

In 1991, Neil Patrick Harris voiced himself portraying Bart Simpson in The Simpsons episode "Bart the Murderer".

In 2008, Harris provided the voice of Barry Allen/The Flash in the movie Justice League: The New Frontier, which included James Arnold Taylor as Captain Cold and Joe Alaskey as Bugs Bunny in a cartoon which aired within the movie.

In 2009, Harris voiced The Music Meister in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold episode "Mayhem of the Music Meister!". The episode included Taylor as Green Arrow.

In 2010, Harris, along with Taylor, Joshua Keaton and Thomas F. Wilson, did voice work for the video game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

In 2014, he played the character Foy in the film A Million Ways to Die in the West, which also saw Christopher Lloyd briefly reprising his role as Doc Brown.

Other works include Starship Troopers, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, and How I Met Your Mother.
