A Neptune statue at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance

Neptune was the god of freshwater and the sea in the Roman religion. He is the counterpart of the Greek god Poseidon, and the brother of Jupiter and Pluto.

On November 12, 1955, a statue of Neptune was erected in the gymnasium at Hill Valley High School for the Enchantment Under the Sea dance.

In September 1984, Marty found a statue of Neptune with an umbrella necktie around its neck in Doc's garage. Doc said he picked it up for a giant fish tank that he never got around to building. It resembled the statue from the Enchantment Under the Sea dance, suggesting that Doc might have purchased the statue from Hill Valley High School after the dance concluded.
