Pizza

Pizza consists of a flatbread, in which yeast is added to make the dough rise somewhat, is covered with toppings, and baked in an oven.

It was first created in the 10th century in Italy. Starting in at least the late 19th century, most pizzas had toppings with a base of tomato sauce and cheese.

As it is easy to prepare and easy to consume, it is often sold for home delivery, in cardboard boxes, or in a pre-baked form that can be re-heated.

On February 11, 1864, Verne Brown was stranded in Chattanooga, Tennessee when he couldn't disable the suitcase conversion mechanism on the DeLorean time machine. When forced to serve as a drummer boy in the Confederate Army, Verne recalled that his mother made good pizza.

In 1989, in Hill Valley, California, two young men discovered and stole Emmett Brown's DeLorean time machine and used it to travel to 2015. They asked a police officer where they could find pizza, and she pointed them to a Pizza Hut restaurant.

By 2015, in the timeline before Doc prevented its invention, Pizza Hut sold dehydrated pizzas that could be rehydrated in a matter of seconds using a hydrator. Also in this timeline, a Pizza Hut restaurant was located in Hill Valley in Courthouse Square.

On October 21, 2015, the teenaged Jennifer Parker became trapped in her older counterpart's home. She witnessed her future husband, Marty McFly eating dinner with her future children, Marlene and Marty Jr, and her future in-laws George McFly and Lorraine Baines McFly. The family meal was a rehydrated pizza from Pizza Hut.

On October 21, 2015, one hour before his counterpart would travel to this date, in the timeline where Marty McFly did not ruin his future by racing Douglas J. Needles, Doc Brown set up a video camera in his secret lab outside Hill Valley. He planned to capture video of a space time correction, in order to show it to Marty McFly at a later date. At some point prior to this, he had traveled to the future and discovered that a nuclear holocaust in 2045 had occurred as a result of the creation of the pizza hydrator, the self-tying sneakers, the hoverboard, and the Mr. Fusion home energy generator. He successfully traveled to an unknown point in the past and prevented their invention.
