A remote controlled mail delivery time machine was a small vehicle that delivered a scratch and listen postcard to Marty McFly in 1991. It was only capable of delivering once with the command to open its hatch upon arrival. Assuming it ran off of remote control, the signal from the control would not transmit through space and time to reach the vehicle, so it would remain in that time until retrieved by hand.
