Robin was a seller in Honolulu, Hawaii, who had a 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS for sale, which was advertised in the classifieds of the August 11, 1984 issue of the Hill Valley Telegraph.

However, Emmett Brown chose Robert's DeLorean DMC-12 instead to build his time machine the following year.

Whether Robin ever found a buyer for his Ferrari remains unrecorded.

Behind the scenes

  • The name Robin would appear to be an in-joke reference to Robin Masters, the unseen celebrated millionaire author (voiced mainly by Orson Welles), who owned a red Ferrari 308 GTS as used by private investigator Thomas Magnum (Tom Selleck) in the Hawaii-set crime drama show Magnum, P.I. (1980-88), which was originally distributed by Universal Television.
