Ronald T. Woodward was the key grip for Back to the Future, responsible for lighting and rigging on the sets in the movie.

Behind the scenes

Bob Gale points out in the DVD commentary to Back to the Future that the set decorators made an inside joke in the movie by posting a his name up on the wall as running for class president.
