- "Marty entered the antique store and told the saleswoman what he wanted. / She pulled the Sports Almanac out of the window display for Marty, and launched into a salespitch."
- —From Back to the Future Part II by Craig Shaw Gardner (quote, page 51)
The saleswoman ran the Blast from the Past antique/memorabilia store in Hill Valley in 2015.
Biography[]
On October 21, 2015, one of the salewoman's customers was Marty McFly, who sold his pocket change and dollar bills as antique currency to purchase the Grays Sports Almanac which was in the display window.
The saleswoman then began a salespitch, during which she pointed out to Marty the almanac's dust jacket — which was used on books before dust-repellent paper was developed — and also recommended to her customer a 1980s DustBuster if he happened to be particularly interested in dust and/or dust-related products. However, Marty politely declined — saying that he was just interested in sports.
The saleswoman then put the almanac in a silver-colored plastic bag, on which was printed in black the Blast from the Past store's logo, along with a receipt.
