A sawed-off shotgun was owned by Marshal James Strickland's son in 1885. It was seemingly a sawed-off version of his father's double-barrelled shotgun.

History

Strickland's son was carrying this small shotgun when he and his father were confronted by Buford Tannen and his gang. Buford ordered the boy to drop the gun otherwise his father would be shot. The boy obeyed the order when his father told him to do so, but Buford shot Marshal Strickland in the back soon after anyway.

Behind the scenes

  • Marshal Strickland's son was mainly seen carrying the sawed-off shotgun in a deleted scene, which was reinstated by Craig Shaw Gardner for the novelization.
