History
In 1955, Sears had four-year car batteries on sale for $14.95, but were too much for the Peabody family to pay, and also sold television sets.[1] Dr. Emmett Brown bought Marty McFly a full outfit and Vaseline hair tonic from Sears to blend in.[2] George McFly had bought attire there in 1981 that he still wore in 1985.[3]
In 1983, in the alternate timeline where an elderly Biff Tannen traveled from 2015 to 1955 with a sports almanac, to make his younger self rich, Doc finished his time travel chamber, which was a time machine built from a 1952 Sears Coldspot refrigerator.
