Southby's Auction House was a business located in Courthouse Square in 2015A, and possibly 2015B.  It was located above Hyatas.

History[]

At some point in 2015 or beyond, Dr. Emmett Brown went to Southby's Auction House to sell a near mint first issue of Action Comics, that he went back in time to 1938 to purchase, for $2.5 million. He then headed back to the DeLorean, where he had several more copies of the same issue that he intended to sell.

Doc had traveled back to May 25, when the newsstand owner would be taking unsold items off the rack, and purchased the dealer's last ten copies of Action Comics issue #1. This way, Doc wouldn't be depriving any child of what would become the most valuable collector's item in history.[1]

With his investment, Doc had surmised that he had managed to set him self up financially for life. He then took off in the DeLorean, which had been successfully hover converted and had the Mr. Fusion unit installed.
