Marty stops by the Browns' house to borrow money for a haircut to go out with Liz. No one is home and Marty uses an unperfected hair-cutting invention to save money. The device causes Marty's hair to drastically change styles instantaneously, and frequently. Brief synopsis
While playing putt-putt golf, Marty angers Jennifer by making fun of her hairdo (which he caused to look dreadful), and, worse, canceling their plans for pizza and movies in favor of a date with Liz (a snobbish, nasty girl in their class). Marty stops by the Browns' house to borrow money for a haircut to go out with Liz. No one is home and Marty uses an unperfected hair-cutting invention to save money. The device causes Marty's hair to drastically change styles instantaneously, and frequently. Einstein communicates with Marty that the Browns are at Mega Monster Mountain, the local amusement park, goes to the park and finds Jules and Verne. Plot
Behind the scenes
- This episode was directed by BTTF co-creator Bob Gale, who grew up in St. Louis.
- Mark Valenti wrote the story and the screenplay.
- In the live action segment with Christopher Lloyd, Doc is watching the local minor-league baseball team, the "Hill Valley Dreamers", who are playing against the "Riverburg Big Dudes".
- In 1904, Doc spots the Jules Verne Train, which Marty and the boys and brought from 1992. Doc thinks that it's an imitation, copied by "that guy in the patent office who laughed at me in 1895". This suggests that it took Doc ten years to build a new time machine, and is consistent with the ages of Jules (9) and Verne (7) when the family meets Marty and Jennifer in 1985.
