Studebaker was founded as a wagon manufacturer in 1852. They entered the automotive industry in 1902. Due to financial difficulties, the last Studebaker was manufactured in 1966.
In 1938, a Studebaker President was pictured on a billboard, advertising Studebaker automobiles, just outside of Hill Valley.
Statler Studebaker sold Studebaker automobiles in Hill Valley in 1955.
